As one of the top leaders in our organization, the VP of Operations is tasked with managing multiple departments, staff and projects within the company. This means having extensive knowledge of the industry, finances and employee output while understanding and striving to meet the company's strategic goals, mission, values and beliefs. This role requires a leader with extensive operations experience in consulting firms.
A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior leaders within the company are also critical aspects of this role. This position is full-time.
Responsibilities
•Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the operations team to enhance client satisfaction, increase profitability, and foster the company's magnetic culture
•Collaborating with client-facing teams to ensure seamless service delivery, address client needs, and maintain strong relationships with partner firms
•Budgeting for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs
•Working closely with Human Resources, Recruiting, Accounting team members to implement and refine company policies and procedures
•Overseeing the company's bonus pay and incentive pay programs to stay competitive in the marketplace while driving top and bottom-line performance
•Guiding, directing and evaluating the work of management and executive team members
•Setting quarterly and annual budgets and overseeing P&L and utilization reporting by department
•Creating and implementing a strategic plan
•Managing corporate risk and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards
•Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting
•Representing the company for external and internal events
•Identifying, training and developing leaders within the company and setting them on a path for management
Qualifications
•Strong project management skills
•Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, construction, or related
•Experience with start-ups or leading operations in a consulting firm
•Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
•10 to 15 years of managerial experience
•Proven strategic planning and budgeting experience
•Demonstrated experience setting, monitoring and meeting quarterly and annual goals
•Experience building and scaling teams and systems
•Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
•Problem-solving skills
•An entrepreneurial spirit
Bonus Qualifications
•Experience working for a consulting firm or in the construction industry
•MBA, MAC or equivalent graduate degree preferred
